Wai Ora Lakeside Spa Resort, Rotorua

I had a fantastic weekend getaway at this hotel. The spa facilities were outstanding, and the restaurant offered a dining experience that rivaled the best places I've visited. The only downside was the room, which was a bit small for the price we paid, and it could use a little more attention in terms of amenities. Overall, it was a memorable stay in a beautiful location!

I was drawn to this hotel because of its advertised amenities, but unfortunately, the reality didn't quite match up. The beach was public and not very pleasant to walk on, and the swimming pool was tiny with no lounge chairs. The location felt remote and having a car was essential. While the restaurant served good dinner, I was left disappointed overall, especially with the room conditions and unexpected credit card fees.

Our stay turned out to be quite disappointing despite the hotel's advertised luxurious experience. The rooms were outdated and not as clean as we expected, and the amenities fell short of what was promised. On the bright side, the view of the lake was a nice touch, but overall, the lack of maintenance and comfort left us wishing for a better experience.
